There are many ways to combat
terrorism, one of which is with the armor of unity and unyielding
American resolve. We wish to raise more than money, we wish to raise
the spirits of Americans, and the eyebrows of those responsible for
the events of September 11, 2001. OneCity, a CD compilation is a show
of solidarity, a message to the country and the world that even longtime
rivals toss aside differences and stand as one when freedom is attacked.
From the outside, America is often viewed as a nation severed by political,
social, religious and economic disunity. We are inter-competitive
and never hesitate to debate an issue. But from an American's perspective,
the act of debate is freedom in action. Our differences and our passion
to express them are the very things that make us one.
From the days of competing
clipper ships, to the curse of the bambino, New York and Boston
have been in opposition. But this flame glows pale in the light
of recent events. We are sailors and sportsmen second, Americans
first.
Please help us to make
this statement. In doing so, you will raise money for a worthy cause
and raise the spirit of our nation.
